What this puzzle does
Number sequences are the classic pattern-recognition puzzle: a row of numbers that follows a hidden rule, and you have to guess the next one. The game generates fresh puzzles each round — differences, ratios, Fibonacci-style sums, alternating patterns, squares and triangular numbers — so you can never memorize the answers.
A round is ten puzzles, and your score is the number you solved correctly. Your best round score is saved on your device.
How to play
- Press Start round — the first sequence appears with one tile hidden.
- Look for the rule: check the gaps between terms first, then ratios, then mixing rules.
- Type the next number and press Check. The rule is revealed either way.
- Repeat ten times — the score at the end is your round result.

Tips for faster solving
- Write the gaps: the differences between terms are often a simpler sequence of their own.
- Try a ratio: if each term roughly doubles, you are looking at a geometric rule.
- Check mixed rules: when the differences go up and down, alternate two small rules.
- Compare with known shapes: squares, cubes and triangular numbers appear surprisingly often.

Why does this matter?
Pattern spotting is the core of every aptitude and IQ test — and it is the same skill you use when estimating costs, reading trends, or sanity-checking a Percentage Calculator result. If you like this, try Mental Math Sprint or the other games.
